Feeding Orphans
Each month we buy and collect donated food, pack it and distribute it to over 50 families (over 60 orphans). We give out about 80 food bags on monthly basis.
Clothing Orphans
We collect, sort and distribute good second hand or new clothing to the orphans we support, the destitute and needy families in the valley.
Building and Renovations for Orphans
Many orphans we support live in poor, rundown conditions. Homes are one or two roomed mud and stick dwellings with 3-4 people per room and a number of people per bed. We are identifying needs in order to build and renovate for them.
Schooling
We buy school uniforms for the supported orphans and needy children at a cost of around R40, 000-00 – R50, 000 per year. We also assist orphans who have matriculated to further their education through sponsorship.
Life Skills training and Discipleship
Many orphans have little input from caring adults and few good role models. We train and equip children and teenagers, guiding them in leading moral and upright lives through various programs such as:
a) Kids club
b) Bible study groups
c) Mentorship programs
d) Life skills programs
Income Generating Projects
We give assistance & encouragement to caregivers to establish gardens in their homes for food and income. We also run projects like sewing, baking etc for caregivers
Recreational Activities
We run, play soccer and netball, have drama, dance and music for children and teens on a weekly basis.
